The national biggest physician's groups are concerned about the use of e-cigarettes, for underage vaping and several types of consumers, like adolescents. They are trying to regulate the sales of electronic cigarettes, principally to prevent younger generations to get addicted to flavored nicotine and eventually to begin smoking more and more.
The vape industry is already regulated by the FDA, however each year more underage teenagers are getting into this "epidemic" and many of them declare that they like vaping because it has different fruity flavors, such as:grape, mint, strawberry, etc. for this specific reason, the Government wants to ban flavored nicotine so that teenagers do not feel attracted to vaping by the flavor inside the chemical. A lot of people have a huge lack of knowledge about vaping products that is many people might feel like flavored nicotine is less harmful than actual cigarettes and other vaping products. An Arkansas Doctor (Dr. Fincher) has been working in drug overdose diagnosis for over 21 years, she says “Vaping especially appeals to younger patients who are often misled about the harm these products can cause and are certainly enamored by their slick electronic appeal and ‘wonderful’ fruit and dessert flavors.” Restrictions in e-cigarettes have to be tighten so that way less underage kids are in risk of getting addicted to nicotine.

  1. I very much agree with you. There are more and more young teenagers vaping and using e-cigarettes as a way to show off how cool they are. This is definitely because people are lack of knowledge about what vaping is all about. Same with Nicotine gum and patches, it a way for people who addicted to Nicotine to reduce their habit by choosing a healthier intake. Because of this, I have nothing against fruity flavors. Adults can enjoy those flavors too, and it just like bubble gum nicotine gum, but we need to have more restrictions and more information about vaping. We need to show everyone that it's a way to help people who have an addiction, and not a safe thing to do. Limiting young people from having their hands on it, and show how harmful it is to non-smokers.
